
Carnegie Library, Superior, Wisconsin
Built in 1901, this is one of two Carnegie libraries in Superior, Wisconsin. It is on Hammond Avenue in a working class part of town. At the time these photos were taken in 2011, this library was vacant and undergoing restoration.

This was the main library in Superior until 1991. Believe it or not, the City Council voted to demolish this building, but the destruction was stopped via restraining order.
